The Security Fox in Your PC Henhouse
published on 08.07.2008, 17:11:36.
Category: Computer Tech.
A recent announcement that major anti-virus software products are in and of themselves a security risk should concern every computer owner that uses their computer to access the Internet.

It turns out that ALL major anti-virus software products have security issues that can be used by malicious software to infiltrate your computer system and your corporate networks.  The very software you rely on to protect you from viruses and malware are creating oppprtunites for malware writers.

Click here to read more on one of ZD Nets' security blogs. Please note that one of our highly recommended products AVG Anti-Virus has less than 10 known vulnerabilities where many higher priced products from Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro and others have as many as 30-40 known issues.

What this means is that even though you have AV software installed you must still be wary of where you surf and what you choose to download.

So as always be careful out there in cyberland.
